12 Terrible CGI Moments In High Budget Movies

9. Wolverine's Claws - X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Despite the previous three X-Men movies using practical effects to realise Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) claws on screen, X-Men Origins: Wolverine inexplicably decided to go digital, the results of which are, well, just look.

Several sequences draw outrageous attention to just how cheap the CGI metal looks: there's no finesse or detail to the texture of the claws, resembling nothing better than the basic 3D modelling you'd see in mid-90s movies as Hollywood began to experiment with early CGI tech.

It sure doesn't help that in the film's infamous bathroom scene, Jackman has to pretend to clash his invisible claws together, the results of which - including a post-production spark - are completely awful.
