12 Terrible Movie Characters Redeemed By Awesome Deaths
1. Trent Sutton - Friday The 13th
Every horror movie needs at least one thoroughly detestable pile of human excrement that audiences want to see die horrifically, and Trent Sutton (Travis Van Winkle) fit the bill perfectly in 2009's not-that-bad Friday the 13th remake.
A generically handsome, arrogant rich kid who ends up filming a sex tape with a woman who is most certainly not his girlfriend, Trent is the epitome of the over-privileged horror movie horndog, and is therefore thoroughly deserving of a place on the end of Jason Voorhees' (Derek Mears) machete.
Every second he's on screen, he elicits sighs and eye-rolls, and eventually, fans got exactly what they wanted.
Cause Of Death: Jason stabs Trent through the back with his machete, before lifting him up by the machete as Trent's guts fall out. Jason then finishes the job by impaling Trent on some rail spikes attached to the back of a car, as the man driving the car hurriedly speeds away.
A fittingly undignified, prolonged and agonising death for one of the most memorably irritating characters from any recent horror movie. There's probably a joke in there somewhere about penetration, too.
