12 Terrible Movies That Killed An Actor's Winning Streak

The Streak: Oh boy, hold your breath for this one. The legendary actor has had a number of great acting streaks, though his most consistent began with 1977's New York, New York and followed with The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, True Confessions, The King of Comedy, Once Upon a Time in America, Falling in Love, Brazil, The Mission, Angel Heart, The Untouchables, Midnight Run and Jacknife. Even the movies that didn't fare too well commercially were at least well-reviewed at the time, and a number of them are now regarded as classics.

The Film That Broke It: Considered by many to be the first hint at the actor's later decline, the David Mamet-written We're No Angels lacks the satirical bite of many of Mamet's other movies, resulting in a goofy caper that talented director Neil Jordan just couldn't make sense of. As well as flopping with critics, the movie only made back half of its $20 million budget.

Which movies do you think most drastically killed an actor's momentum? Shout it out in the comments!
