12 Terrible Recent Movies Destined To Become Cult Classics
4. Jane Got A Gun
Why It's Terrible: Possibly the most boring movie of 2016 that starred an Oscar winner, this Natalie Portman-led western spelled trouble early on when original director Lynne Ramsay bailed from the project last minute over the ever-pesky "creative differences".
The end result, directed by Gavin O'Connor (Warrior), is a stifling bore, burying a terrific cast as little memorable or of consequence happens throughout, with Portman's performance proving disappointingly all over the place.
Why It'll Be A Cult Classic: The art-house crowd are destined to claim it as their own, using descriptors like "deliberate" and "quietly compelling" to paper over its sluggish pacing and utter lack of incident. The cinematography is legitimately great, though, so that's something.
