12 Things In Pixar Movies That Make No Sense

11. The Good Dinosaur - Leaving The Mark Is Pointless

The Good Dinosaur revolves around a small Apatosaurus called Arlo. When one of his family members achieve their tasks, they put their foot in mud and then smear it on a corn silo, which is a symbolic way of “leaving their mark”.

Due to Arlo’s diminutive side, he finds it difficult to perform basic chores with the same ease as his siblings. Arlo's ambition is to perform a great feat so he can finally leave his mark on the silo.

During the events in this film, Arlo loses his father, nearly drowns, gets attacked by pterosaurs and velociraptors, adopts a small boy, and rustles cattle with T-Rexes. When he returns home, Arlo proudly places his foot in mud and imprints it on the silo.

Although this is meant to be a touching moment, there is one tiny problem. The mud would wash away immediately after it rained. I know poor Arlo went to Hell and back to leave his mark on the silo but considering how often flash floods occur in this movie, I'm gonna assume water will wash away Arlo's "mark" in a couple of days.
