12 Things We Definitely Know About Future MCU Movies
2. Doctor Strange Is Going To Be VERY Weird
You could probably already have guessed this from the trailers (and from the comics if you're a fan), but Doctor Strange is going to amp up the weirdness stakes dramatically.
But just how weird is it going to actually get? Well, Ant-Man's Quantum Realm sequence offers a frame of reference, but only a tiny representation of what we'll see, as Feige told BMD:
“We send Ant-Man on a very weird, mind-bending journey at the end of Ant-Man. It was something we hadn’t seen in a shrinking movie before, but it also represents the tip of the mind-bending weirdness we’re going to do inStrange, which I think will surprise people.”
Feige has also recently said the film will be best viewed in 3D:
“There are sequences of the film that 3D is actually necessary to tell the dimensional story that is happening through visuals, and we’re now finding ourselves in VFX reviews going, ‘Okay we know this is perfect for 3D, this is built for 3D, but the story’s gotta work in 2D so how do we adjust it so it still works in 2D?’”
It's always nice to know they're not just trying to claw in the extra ticket money.
