12 Things You Learn Rewatching Die Another Day

3. Rosamund Pike Is Totally Miscast As Miranda Frost

Oh, Rosamund Pike. At the mere age of 21 while Die Another Day was shooting, this was her first feature film role, and looking back, it's hard not to see her as woefully miscast in the role of Miranda Frost.

For starters, she's a quarter-century younger than Pierce Brosnan which is skirting close to the cradle-snatching ick of the Roger Moore era, and she's also far too fresh-faced to convince as an MI6 agent posing as an assistant who also happens to be a North Korean defector.

Pike is beautiful, yes, and she exudes a certain iciness befitting her character's eye-rollingly on-the-nose name, but she's also a cherub-cheeked child compared to her co-stars, and it's a constant distraction. Casting someone about a decade older would've instantly cut down on the creep factor and made the character immediately more credible.

We love you, Rosamund, but this wasn't the role for you.
