12 Things You Learn Rewatching The World Is Not Enough
8. Denise Richards' Casting Seems Even Sillier Today
It's not exactly a startling revelation that Denise Richards' Dr. Christmas Jones is the worst thing about this movie, but almost two decades later, it's a spot of casting that feels even more ridiculous.
At least the movie's producers could argue that they expected Richards' career to blow up in the early 2000s and maybe, just maybe, she could've honed her acting chops and become a semi-respectable actress by the 2010s.
Given the fact that Richards has spent the last two decades doing little of acting merit, her role in this movie as a genius scientist seems even more risible today.
Alternately kitted out in a Lara Croft-esque tank top and short-shorts, a purple cocktail dress and a white shirt that, of course, gets incredibly wet, Christmas is all eye candy and zero believability.
Perhaps in the Moore era her casting might've made more sense, but given that TWINE takes itself relatively seriously, her presence in such a role is utterly guffaw-inducing.
