5. Wai Lin Is A Classic Bond Girl Deserving A Better Movie

Tomorrow Never Dies is such a workmanlike entry into the Bond franchise overall that it's easy to forget just how brilliant Michelle Yeoh is in the role of Bond's ally Wai Lin.

Being "only" nine years younger than Pierce Brosnan certainly helps her feel like a legitimate match for Bond, not to forget her capable acting chops and convincing performance during the movie's set-pieces.

She may take a while to do much once she's introduced, but the second half of the movie gives her more action-packed agency than most other Bond girls combined.

Though she does ultimately get taken hostage by Carver, she's an active participant in proceedings for the most part, and even gets to beat the snot out of several men for good measure.

It's a shame Wai Lin wasn't included in a better Bond movie, and she should've had more screen time in favour of the pointless Paris, but she's still one of the film's easy highlights.
