12 Times DCEU Movies Completely Changed The Comics

3. Doomsday's Creation - Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

The Kryptonian monster was introduced in Dawn of Justice and despite a lackluster visual design, it proved to be an extremely potent threat to our heroes, completely overwhelming Superman and Wonder Woman in close quarters combat. It even accomplished its comics counterpart's feat of killing Superman (though the Man of Steel was merely beaten to the point of a death-like coma in both cases).

What separates the two behemoths is their means of creation. The comics version of Doomsday was created on prehistoric Krypton by a scientist named Bertron. His goal was to create the ''Ultimate'', an unstoppable killing machine that would represent the pinnacle of evolution. Every experiment was even crueler than the last and this led to Doomsday developing an intense hatred for Kryptonians.

DCEU Doomsday was created by Lex Luthor to kill Superman in the event that Batman fails. Luthor took Zod's corpse and infused it with genetic material from the Kryptonian Scout Ship that was considered to be a genetic deformity on the doomed planet.
