5. John Vs. Wong Fei-hung - Legend of Drunken Master

In early twentieth century China, the ignominious John (Ken Lo) sells off China's priceless cultural heirlooms to the highest bidder. Wong Fei-hung ain't having it and the two tussle in a steel mill during the film's climax. A seven minute contest of wills ensues involving crawling over burning coals, fire-breathing and much high kicking. Wong Fei-hung turns the tide when he finds some handy liquor and get his drunk enough to harness the power of Zui Quan (a form of Wushu that imitates the movement of a drunkard). Ken Lo, Chan's bodyguard at the time, subbed in for Wushu blackbelt Hall of Famer Ho-Sung Pak who bowed out of the role due to injury. The fight took four months to film with a day's work typically producing three seconds of usable footage. The painstaking work involved paid-off huge.
