12 Upcoming Comic Book Movie Villains We Can’t Wait To See
5. Klaw - Black Panther (2018)
Andy Serkis brief appearance in Avengers: Age Of Ultron makes it a pretty safe bet that Ulysses Klaw Klaue will fill the villainous role in the upcoming Black Panther adaptation (the fact that he lost an arm is a give-away). And what better way to set up a nemesis? Avenging a father is pretty much classic revenge plot #1 and being that hes linked to a superhero collective known as the Avengers, Black Panther would be missing a trick by not tracking down his fathers killer. The inclusion of Klaw as Black Panther's big bad would also tie the movie universe closer together; Klaue has already shared screen time with other members of the Avengers and Marvel haven't made a habit of throwing in characters randomly. Look at how Paul Bettany's role evolved into playing The Vision after years of voicing Jarvis - there's method in their madness. Klaw also ticks all the villainous boxes with aplomb: a family connection to the Nazis? Check. Exploiting indigenous people for his own gain? Check. A ray-gun for a hand? Youd better believe thats a check. A new hero franchise obviously needs to have a compelling protagonist but they also live and die on their villains and Ulysses Klaue definitely fits the bill.
