With the highly hyped "return" of Xander Cage, the next xXx film includes downhill skiing through jungles, a spunky Ruby Rose, and more one-liners than a Roger Moore Bond film. After sitting out the second (yeah, we forgot it existed too) film, Vin Diesel is back as hot-headed muscle guy Xander Cage. The extreme athlete comes out of self-imposed exile to once again take on the forces of evil. It has pure '90s cheese strewn all over it in a hardly unique plot.

In an era of Fast and Furious films and The Expendables, Return of Xander Cage will probably do quite well for gun-toting thrillseekers. It looks, erm, interesting, but is just one of those films that will be hard to get people excited about. There are other franchises out there doing the same thing with a better cast. On the plus side, they did lure back Samuel L. Jackson's Agent Gibbons, while there is no news on whether Ice Cube will reprise his role from the second film.
