12 Upcoming Movie Sequels You Definitely Didn't Need
8. Triplets
Release: Unknown
Premise: Julius and Vincent Benedict are back, this time is three a crowd when discover they have another brother.
Preceded by: Twins
As a standalone comedy film Twins wasn't that bad, but do we really need to dredge up a film that is likely to be over 30 by the time it gets a sequel? Ivan Reitman's zany comedy saw mismatched Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger as twins from a DNA experiment. The sequel would see the brothers find a third brother, played by Eddie Murphy, which throws a whole host of questions at the original film.
The sequel was officially announced in 2012 and Reitman would be back to co-produce. Perhaps he is currently too busy milking those Ghostbusters (keep em' peeled). Josh Gad was supposed to be co-writing the script, saying back in January 2015 that it was completed.
Who knows where the film is up to now, but Eddie Murphy said he LOVED the idea. Triplets is likely to be one of those things you think is done for, then magically resurrects itself in time for the anniversary. Get ready for some "pregnant" pauses.
