The Film

After the unfortunately rather silly Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom didn't stop it making an absolute fortune, it was inevitable that the already-announced threequel would be happening. And by the look of Fallen Kingdom's end, we're looking at a sort of Planet Of The Apes/Jurassic Park mash-up with man and dinosaur trying to co-exist.

Seeing as though only one of those species eats the other one, it's unlikely the humans will take to that suggestion too kindly. So we can expect a backlash movie that continues to explore Henry Wu's dangerous fascination with genetic meddling (and weaponising dinosaurs).

Evidence

Fallen Kingdom may not have been as critically-acclaimed as its predecessor, but it delighted audiences enough to warrant a huge box office return and there's enduring draw in giant dinosaur movies to consider a repeat with the threequel likely.

With the cast returning and director Colin Trevorrow claiming the "science thriller" will most closely match Jurassic Park, there's definitely enough here to predict a billion dollar haul once more.
