12 Upcoming Sci-Fi Movies That WILL Be Better Than Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker

First things first—let’s agree to not mention the war. Recently rebooted in the form of 2016’s disastrously unfunny and intensely divisive comedy from Bridesmaids director Paul Feig, the Ghostbusters franchise until now seemed as dead as many of its fellow eighties series.

Then came the announcement that Ghostbusters: Afterlife would be directed by Thank You for Smoking helmer Jason Reitman, an indie kid and son of the original’s director Ivan Reitman. Promising.

Then the news that Stranger Things stand-out/ IT star Finn Woolfhard had joined the cast, soon followed by the announcement that everyone’s favourite everyman Paul Rudd would be taking on a role too. Soon this series seemed to be back on track, and whilst only time will tell if that’s true, a nostalgic and action packed trailer released earlier this year seems pretty promising so far.
