12 Villains Far Too Lame For The Marvel Cinematic Universe

9. The Slug

First Appearance: Captain America #325 Enemy Of: Captain America, Spider-Man You were wondering who the most ridiculously obese of Marvel€™s fat villains was, weren't you? Well, it€™s unlikely that you€™ll be seeing him on screen, so if you want to get to know The Slug you€™ll need to pick up a copy of 1987€™s Captain America #325 and read on. Previously known as Miami drug lord Ulysses X. Lugman, Slug rose through the ranks of the criminal underworld and seemed to gain a pound with every dollar he made. He was sickeningly large by the time Captain America blew up his luxury yacht with the help of Nomad, who were getting fond of using disproportionate force at this stage, and the story would only darken. After saving a drug-pusher from being killed by some of Slug€™s cronies, Spider-Man discovers a gigantic stash of cocaine and takes a run at bringing down The Slug. The plots that Slug has been involved in would probably translate to the screen pretty well, though they€™re nothing ground breaking, and given that his preferred method of dealing with his enemies is to suffocate them in his rolls of fat, the Slug is hardly one to get the pulse racing.

Phil still hasn't got round to writing a profile yet, as he has an unhealthy amount of box sets on the go.
