12 Ways 2016 Movies Definitely Made You Dumber

1. They’re Making The Next Generation Of Paying Moviegoers Dumb Too

To be fair, not all kid-oriented movies this year have set out to rot the minds of future paying moviegoers before they even have a chance to graduate to PG-13 level films. But while Zootopia could be interpreted as promoting racial harmony and Finding Dory as a message about living with disabilities several other kid-friendly movies have, put bluntly, filled kids’ heads with a load of crap.

The Kelsey Grammer and Andy Samberg voiced animation Storks tried to propagate the old ‘babies are delivered by storks rather than hours of excruciatingly painful labour’ myth, while Ice Age: Collision Course suggested that space travel was possible during the ice age (hint: it wasn’t).

Norm of the North and Alice Through the Looking Glass might not have been as misrepresentative of facts as Storks or Ice Age: Collision Course but they were still awful movies regardless. Please Hollywood, think of the children.
