Back in 2013 when Jennifer Lawrence tripped and fell while making her way up the stairs to accept her Best Actress award for Silver Linings Playbook she solidified her status as everybody’s favourite relatable, adorkable sweetheart du jour.

Even decked out in Dior haute couture accepting one of the film industry’s highest accolades and making Oscar history as the second youngest actress to ever receive the award she proved she was still down to earth, still one of us.

The following year, however, when J-Law was up for Best Supporting Actress for her role in American Hustle and she managed to fall yet again while making her way down the red carpet not everybody was so convinced by her goofy, girl next door shtick and pondered whether it might be some sort of cheap, fame whore PR stunt intended to maintain the kooky, relatable façade.

Even Jared Leto had something to say about the matter, wondering if it was all part of an act. Leto with his whiny emo band, faux grubby grunge (but actually designer) fashion sense and twatty method actor antics isn’t exactly a stranger to bit of fame whoring himself so if he’s calling her out you know something’s up.
