13 2018 Movies That Are Destined To Disappoint You
8. The War With Grandpa
Release Date: February 23
Considering how little "worthy" work Robert De Niro does these days, the prospect of him starring in an adaptation of Robert Kimmel Smith's much-loved, hugely acclaimed novel The War with Grandpa actually seems pretty damn appealing.
It's an intriguing, family-friendly role for the actor at this point in his career, and one that on paper could certainly see him deliver his most charming and affecting performance in years. Working opposite the likes of Christopher Walken, Uma Thurman and Jane Seymour couldn't hurt, either.
The most alarming thing about the film is that it's due to hit U.S. cinemas in less than two months and there's still no trailer out.
This is following its original October 20, 2017 release date being delayed by four months, which might suggest that the studio is trying to save the film in the editing room, and aware they've got a dud on their hands, they're going to quietly dump it next month without any fanfare. How depressing.
