Every indie fan's favourite film, It Follows is the story of Jay who, after a night of romance with a gentleman, begins to be followed around by a sinister entity. The entity can take any form and, whilst it can't move much faster than a gentle walk, is always following you. The only way to pass on the entity away from you is to sleep with someone else and instruct them to do the same.

The entity chooses to take some seriously scary forms throughout the film, but really begins to dish out the chills with its old lady and giant man selections.

Almost all of the film's effective scariness comes from the way it is shot however. Everything from the wide-angled camera shots that make your eyes dart around the screen, scanning every possible individual thinking they might be the entity, to the quiet ambience of the locations that suddenly jolt into a fit of panic works so well in binding together a film that really deserves more recognition than it gets.

Even the film's ending shot makes a point of ensuring the chills continue even after the screen goes black.
