13 Best Character Introductions In MCU Movies
4. Black Panther (Captain America: Civil War)
T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) first appears during the Sokovia Accords summit in Vienna, where his father is killed in an explosion and he vows to kill Bucky.
However, his first time suiting up as Black Panther occurs a little later, and is of course the character's true coming-out party. In Bucharest, Bucky is on the run from the authorities when he's attacked by a ferociously p***ed off Black Panther, who uses both his suit and herb-enhanced abilities to very nearly make short work of Buck.
The sequence does an incredible job quickly selling Panther's speed and strength, especially his ability to outrun Cap (Chris Evans), leap between vehicles and make savage use of his claws.
The fact he's introduced as an independent party separate from the Team Cap/Team Iron Man conflict also gives him a uniquely intriguing dramatic angle. Fantastic stuff.
