13 Best Comic Book Movie Deleted Scenes You Need To See

The Thor movies are fertile ground for finding finely acted deleted scenes that add enormously to the theatrical releases. Here's another one! 

In the first Thor movie, whilst Odin sleeps, Frigga talks with Loki about his past and why they never told him he was adopted. Not only that, but the scene makes it clear that Loki was rightfully given the throne of Asgard to keep safe whilst Odin sleeps - Loki didn't steal anything! He was legally next in line for the throne and, with Thor banished to Earth, he was put in charge by Frigga.

With that fact so clearly established, Loki's later acts are easier to understand. Having been given the throne lawfully, he's not willing to give it up or allow the Warriors Three to get away with an attempted coup d'etat. And why should he? Thor got himself exiled through no fault of Loki, and the Warriors Three are genuinely engaging in treason. Yes, Loki turns out to be not such a great leader, but he's still the rightful ruler, crazy as he is.

After watching this scene, it's hard not to come to the conclusion that Thor and his friends are vile traitors who are going against the express wishes of Odin and Frigga. They deserve everything they get. Heck yeah, bring on the Destroyer!
