11. Paranormal Activity 3 - Paranormal Activity Franchise

The Paranormal Activity films are extremely dire for the most part. Not even the original film was any good, while Paranormal Activity 4 and Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension are two of the worst horror films of the 2010s.
The only film in the series to rise above the two-star level is Paranormal Activity 3. This third instalment, which is mostly a prequel to the first two films, is surprisingly good and makes for an enjoyable, spine-tingling horror flick.
This is the only one of the Paranormal Activity films that was actually scary and there are quite a few tense shocks, especially thanks to the film's clever device of having one of the cameras on a moving fan arm.
Paranormal Activity 3 isn't a great film by any means, but it is a good one and considering how bad most Found-Footage horror films are, including every other film in this wretched franchise, that's incredibly satisfying.
