Would you travel into the reality-bending, hazardous Zone to find the Room that gives you your deepest desires?

Stalker's plot is just as intriguing as its problematic creation. In an undisclosed Russian location, Stalkers guide visitors through the Zone safely to the Room. Two visitors, the Professor and the Writer, employ a Stalker to bring them to the Room unscathed.

Tarkovsky's chilling masterpiece is a slow, winding journey into the unknown. The sound design and cinematography are exquisitely executed. Stalker doesn't tot the usual science fiction technology or chaos of the end of the world, but rather subtly plays on the minds of those infiltrating the Zone, as well as posing philosophical questions regarding desire.

It's a miracle Stalker made it to the light of day. Tarkovsky had to retake the first year's worth of filming as the footage was poorly developed and unusable. Many of the crew members' deaths, including Tarkovsky, are attributed to shooting in toxic locations, eerily foreboding the Chernobyl accident that occurred seven years later.
