13 Best Scenes From 2015's Summer Blockbusters

1. The Final Chase - Mad Max: Fury Road

Max (Tom Hardy) hatches a plan with Furiosa (Charlize Theron) to travel to the Citadel while it's undefended in order to trap Immortan Joe and his convoy in the nearby canyon. Cue a 15+ minute virtuoso action sequence involving more gunfire, explosions and insane stunts than most entire movies dare to include. Highlights of the sequence include Furiosa grasping Max's leg as he dangles close to the ground, Max being catapulted through the air on a gigantic stilt-type contraption as a massive explosion detonates in the background, Max's battle with the flamethrower guitar dude (aka the Coma-Doof Warrior), Furiosa's brutal murder of Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), and finally, Nux's (Nicholas Hoult) sacrificial death to crash the convoy in the canyon. It's got pretty much everything action fans could possibly want in a set-piece, and has set an extremely high bar for other filmmakers, not to mention Miller himself when he eventually gets round to making the sequel...
