5. It Will Be A 3D Found Footage Movie - Friday The 13th Remake

The Theory: Rumours have been swirling for months and months that Paramount are considering two gimmicks for the price of one with their upcoming Friday the 13th reboot: it's going to be found footage and 3D. Why It Could Be True: Horror franchises are never too proud to get desperate, and given that the studio didn't make a sequel to 2009's reboot in a timely manner, it looks like they're just starting again. Even the most die-hard horror nuts would find another remake of the 1980 slasher classic incredibly lazy, so introducing two new stylistic gimmicks is at least a fun way to shake things up a little. It certainly beats just rehashing the same tired garbage all over again (even though 3D and found footage are themselves relatively overdone). Why It's Probably Not: Paramount have been careful not to commit to anything yet, and the movie has been in early production stages for a hell of a long time now, causing some to wonder if it's even going to get made at all.
