13 Bonkers Theories About 2016’s Movies That Surely Can’t Be True
8. Harry Potter Has A Cameo... Somehow - Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them
The Theory: Somewhere, somehow, Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling has found a way to shoehorn her most iconic creation into this prequel spin-off, likely appearing at the end as a tip of the hat to Harry's unforgettable journey. Why It Could Be True: Because movie studios love their tie-ins, and what better way to cross-promote this new franchise than have the star of the previous one show up for a minute or two? It's just good business, and it's not like Radcliffe's schedule would prevent him from spending a few hours on set to get the cameo shot. Why It Probably Won't Be: For one, the film is set primarily in the 1920s, so Harry wouldn't be born yet and would have no business appearing in it. A flash-forward would feel majorly forced, and considering that this is the first of a trilogy, it would probably make more sense for him to cameo in the third one, providing a bridge into the first Potter film (even though he's obviously a small child in that film).
