3. Deckard - Blade Runner 2049

Played By: Harrison Ford

We might have already seen one veteran Harrison Ford character killed off in the past couple of years, but that doesn't mean that Rick Deckard's story really has to go the same way as Han Solo's. Whether we even need to see more of his story - with that wonderfully teasing "is he a replicant" element hanging in the air - is up for debate, but it's coming, and the best way to answer that mystery definitively is to kill him off.

Ryan Gosling's character is the hero of the piece, and it makes a lot of sense that he would step into Deckard's shoes in the same way that the new generation of Star Wars heroes have with Solo.

He also pretty much deserves to die after some questionable behaviour in the past, and since he was so notoriously casual about the value of life, it would be rather fitting for him to lose his, heroically or otherwise.
