13 Comic Book Villains That Movies Ruined Worse Than Dr Doom

2. Deadpool (X-Men Origins: Wolverine)

Wade Wilson first appeared on screen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine as an anti-hero character, and though he didn't sport the iconic Deadpool costume, he had the wise-cracking nature of the character down pat. However, when he's "killed" in the movie and re-appears in villainous "Deadpool" form later, he barely resembles the beloved comic book equivalent whatsoever. Firstly, the Merc with the Mouth has had his mouth sewn shut, and he sports a smorgasbord of superpowers such as Cyclops' optic vision and blades protruding from his hands not unlike Wolverine's adamantium claws. Without the personality, look or even the same abilities as his comic book counterpart, this Deadpool is an utter failure. Thankfully this one's about to be (hopefully) rectified with a far more faithful Deadpool movie next year (as a hero rather than a villain, mind) and the best thing it can do is use its fourth wall-breaking potential to illustrate just how stupid an idea "Barakapool" (due to his uncanny resemblance to Mortal Kombat's Baraka) was.
