What The Critics Said: Central Intelligence is said to overcome its boilerplate narrative thanks to go-for-broke performances from Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, whose palpable chemistry keeps the whole thing afloat.

Why It Actually Sucked: Though Johnson does a damn fine job keeping Hart on the right side of tolerable here, this is such an intensely sleep-inducing big-budget studio comedy, full of incredibly talented actors blatantly there for an easy paycheck (most of all Amy Ryan), and a template-driven plot that lacks the satirical bite that might've made it actually intriguing.

Ultimately, not even Johnson's considerable charms and Hart's energy can stop the movie from devolving into an overlong, underdeveloped bore. Once you've seen it, you'll forget you did within a few weeks at most.
