What The Critics Said: The latest success on Disney's conveyor-belt of live-action animated adaptations, Beauty and the Beast is said to capture the spirit of the source material, complimented by gorgeous visuals and game performers.

Why It Actually Sucked: Despite the movie's inherent, crowd-pleasing appeal, there are a number of issues holding it back, from Emma Watson's horrendously auto-tuned singing, to the 40-ish minutes of narrative bloat tacked on (padding it out to a needless 129 minutes), and the simple fact that, shockingly, it's got nothing on the original 1991 Best Picture-nominated animation.

The crafts contributions speak for themselves as far as costume and production design go, but considering the huge hype, this one really fell short of the mark.
