13 Dumbest Things In 2018's Summer Movies

11. The Hilariously Bad Green Screen - The First Purge

It makes no sense at all that despite having the biggest budget of the four Purge movies to date - a staggering $13 million - The First Purge is easily the cheapest-looking film in the franchise.

Scenes are horribly shot and edited, and the visual effects are egregiously awful, especially when the production inexplicably used green screen to key Marisa Tomei's Dr. May Updale into a scene near the start of the film.

The green screen lighting doesn't even remotely match the lighting of the background footage to the point of distraction, and the fact that something so ropey and unprofessional made it into a hit franchise is just totally embarrassing.
