10. Getting Pregnant During An Alien Invasion - A Quiet Place

As well-crafted and entertaining as A Quiet Place is, the chief complaint from many viewers has been the enormous suspension of disbelief required to accept that the Abbotts (John Krasinski and Emily Blunt) would be trying for another baby in the middle of an alien invasion.

Yes, their youngest son of course dies in the movie's very first scene, but even so, maybe it's smarter to focus on keeping your remaining kids alive rather than risking their and your own livelihood with a screaming baby?

It's all the more frustrating as the baby's penchant for noise becomes a major crux of the movie's suspense in act three, despite the unshakeable feeling of, "Why the hell did you do this?"

You can hand-waive it as an accident, maybe, but it's still a pretty flimsy, baffling element of an otherwise outstanding film.
