13 Early Predictions For Star Wars Episode IX

10. Luke Returns As A Force Ghost

Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) dies at the end of The Last Jedi and passes over to the Force, but that's almost certainly not the end of the story for the franchise icon.

It's hard to imagine Johnson or J.J. Abrams resisting the opportunity to feature Luke as a Force ghost, given the potential for him to impart Rey (Daisy Ridley) with some sage Jedi advice at a pivotal moment.

Though Luke probably shouldn't have a major role, a few brief scenes peppered throughout the film would do just fine, namely helping Rey, trolling Kylo Ren and a closing glimpse of him hanging out with fellow Force ghost Yoda (Frank Oz). You know you want it.
