13 Famous Movie Titles That Got Seriously Lost In Translation

10. "The 8th Passenger Is Death" - Alien - Hungary

url-2 Get it? The 8th Passenger Is Death? 'Cause that's the alien, people! At least we can work out exactly what it is was that the distributors were going for when it came to retitling what is arguably the greatest sci-fi movie ever, what with the accidental boarding on an alien lifeform "passenger" who brings death to everybody on board the Nostromo spaceship. Which means that this Hungarian title is actually kind of cool - it sounds like an Agatha Christie novel or something, though it doesn't really have the punch and simple brilliance of Alien. Whatever floats your boat, Hungary.
