13 Kick-Ass Upcoming Movies Nobody Is Talking About

3. White Boy Rick

Movie fans love true crime stories with huge characters just as much as they love biopics that exaggerate the truth for dramatic effect and even though it's been delayed a couple of times, that's exactly what White Boy Rick looks like it's catering to.

Directed by one-time potential Bond 25 candidate Yann Demange and produced by Darren Aronofsky, the true crime story of Ricky Wershe Jr. who was a notorious street hustler, FBI informant and drug kingpin before his 16th birthday has a great story and a better cast. It sees Matthew McConaughey, Bruce Derne and Jennifer Jason Leigh team up with newcomer Richie Merritt and while those delays are usually a red flag, they were apparently done to allow positive improvements after strong test audience response.

There's lots in the material to be excited about and the trailer looks genuinely great too. It deserves to be talked about a hell of a lot more.
