13 Kick-Ass Upcoming Movies Nobody Is Talking About

In most circumstances, the idea of a horror remake these days tends to inspire cynicism. After all, there's only so much a fanbase can take before they start to realise the deck is seemingly stacked against them. Because, to put it bluntly, there really aren't many truly good horror remakes.

The problem for a lot of those doomed projects is that they aim to remake classic horrors, which the upcoming reboot of Pet Sematary has cleverly avoided thanks to the original adaptation being terrible. It has memorable moments - like the achilles tendon slice scene, for instance - but on the whole it's poor.

The remake has already scored interest thanks to its principal cast, with Jascon Clarke, Amy Seimetz and John Lithgow top-billed and it's one of those Stephen King stories that absolutely deserves a good adaptation, so there should be a lot of goodwill too. Remarkably, despite the success of the IT remake, there's very little talk of this one at the minute. Hopefully, that changes as we get closer to release.

Release: April 5, 2019
