13 Major Revelations And Hints From The Ant-Man Trailer

13. A Crime Of Necessity

Scott Lang's comic book arc casts the technology whizz as a criminal of necessity, who turns to crime when his daughter becomes gravely ill, stealing Hank Pym's Ant-Man suit in order to infiltrate Cross Technological Enterprises to free the only doctor capable of healing her. From the outset of the trailer, it looks very much like this is the main arc for Lang in the MCU too. It opens on him being accosted, in full stereotypical thief outfit by a fairly serious police force. Could this be the cause for the evacuation of Pym Technologies that flashes up towards the end of the trailer? Possibly, but reasonable supposition would say that Lang infiltrates the company in order to steal something that he knows will help his daughter. Is he a former employee? Is that how they'll sell his own technological prowess (and how Pym knows of him)? Those too would be reasonable assumptions. But whatever the case, it seems the film will begin with a set-piece that sees Lang sent to prison.
