13 Most Ridiculously Over-Powered Comic Book Movie Characters

3. Thanos

Thanos 2
Marvel

The latest addition to the MCU's gallery of villains (well, okay, he's been around for ages, but he's never actually DONE anything much) immediately made a play for the series' most badass bad guy. Even without his Infinity Gauntlet, the Titan is basically a superman who can beat the absolute hell out of most of the Avengers and Guardians Of The Galaxy without much hassle.

It's testament to his fundamental powers that he actually resists using the Gauntlet more, preferring instead to show off his own brute force. And then when you add the six most powerful artifacts in the galaxy into the mix, he turns into something else entirely. He's a walking atom bomb, only on a scale that is entirely unimaginable with every power we've seen the Infinity Stones display in the first decade of the MCU.

Most Over-Powered Moment

Well, you know this. Snap and the cards all fall down.

Any Weaknesses?

Not particularly, though he has had some problems with under-estimating his enemies and there's a suggestion that his guilt (particularly at the death of his daughter) might be his Achilles Heel.

And then there's his principles, which also limit him. The Infinity Gauntlet could be used to any end - to kill all life, to reverse all evolution, to create a vast void where there was once something - but Thanos only wants order. He has principles rather than just malice and that's definitely a weakness in the context of his potential.
