13 Most Strongly Hinted Future Marvel Movies
3. Young Avengers
Hints
If Avengers: Endgame does indeed see the end of the first iteration of the superhero team when the likes of Iron Man and Captain America retire then Marvel need to have a plan in place to continue the brand. It's likely the mainline Avengers will continue to exist with a new line-up led by Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel, but as in the comics, there's no reason we won't also get to see an expanded Avengers Initiative.
In line with that possible agenda, we could be set to see the introduction of the Young Avengers, which has been rumoured since it was revealed that an older Cassie Lang (played by Emma Furhmann) would be introduced in Avengers: Endgame. That has led to fans speculating that she will go on to lay Ant-Girl (AKA Stature) in a Young Avengers spin-off.
Feige specifically spoke of how Cassie would be inspired by her father to do good and also mentioned that Kate Bishop - Hawkeye's daughter in the comics - was also a "possibility" for a future MCU movie. Both are key members of the fledgling super-team.
Hopes
Now that Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse has proved such a success for Sony, why not go with that medium to establish the new team - and perhaps appeal to a younger demographic at the same time - by approaching the Young Avengers the same sort of way.
As long as it wasn't TOO heavily aimed at kids to the cost of the MCU's usual focus on universally adult themes (which Into The Spider-Verse still managed), it would be a great approach.
