13 Movie Sequels You Didn't Know Came Out In 2018

11. Unbroken: Path To Redemption

Any movie released by Pure Flix Entertainment just screams quality filmmaking, so it's a "surprise" that this sequel to 2014's Angelina Jolie-directed drama Unbroken is...not good.

There's no denying that Louis Zamperini's real-life story is a fascinating, inspirational tale of triumph of adversity, but didn't Jolie's film pretty much say everything that needed to be said?

This sequel is instead fashioned through the lens of a faith-based drama, with Zamperini returning from World War II and becoming an evangelical Christian.

Directed by Harold Cronk - who helmed the first two God's Not Dead films - Path to Redemption resembles a stodgy TV movie through-and-through, with flat cinematography and direction, boilerplate writing and mediocre performances.

It's not terrible, just a tedious and ultimately pointless post-script to a movie few were particularly fussed about in the first place.
