13 Movie Tag-Lines That Blatantly Lied To You

Tag-line: “We've Sensed It. We've Seen The Signs. Now... It's Happening.”

Mark Wahlberg leads this decidedly un-funky 2008 thriller in which a strange plague causes everyone infected to commit suicide.

Its tag-line declares that “we've sensed it,” and that “we've seen the signs.”

Have we? Why did no-one but M. Night Shyamalan think to mention it? What exactly is happening now, and why should we all ignore it and go to see the movie?

It's hard to promote a movie by attempting to include the audience in a story that they don't yet know. There were no real signs that led to the the film's story unfolding, certainly not that the majority of its characters had noticed. So this one definitely lied to us, once in reality and then again once we were in our seats with our popcorn.

Also, Marky Mark as a science teacher? The biggest lie of all.
