13 Movies That Made Being A Bad Guy Look Incredibly Cool

5. The Lost Boys (1987)

"Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It's fun to be a vampire." If the tagline to eighties hit The Lost Boys doesn't sum up how cool this film is nothing will. Revered as one of the definitive vampire films, we follow Phoenix natives Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (the late Corey Haim), as they move to Santa Carla. It's campy, the nightlife is great...and there's bloodsuckers lurking everywhere. The creatures have always been scary, ever since Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula. But never before have they been considered so...sexy? Kiefer Sutherland puts in a sizzling performance as David, the leather-bound biker antagonist. He and his friends' lives consist of nothing but nights having fun and causing mayhem, riding around and...eating worms? He assures us they're just noodles. And this is all accessible by drinking the blood of skinheads partying on the beach. While we may not be up for killing people, David is an iconic character from the period. Everything about him just reverberated within the audience - vampire or not, he made being bad about as cool as it could be.

I love all things imaginative, from the page to the screen, and nurture a soft spot for Donald Sutherland and Daniel Bryan.
