13 Movies That Made Being A Bad Guy Look Incredibly Cool
6. Ocean's Eleven (2001)
Okay, listen closely kids. If you want to make criminals look like heroes, there are two important lessons you should adhere to: one, have them rob a casino in Las Vegas (Lord knows those places take as much of our money as they can); and two, cast two of Hollywood's most likeable (and bankable) stars as the leads. Congratulations, you've just made Ocean's Eleven. George Clooney takes over the reigns from Frank Sinatra as Danny Ocean, wrangling up a group of thieves to take down the Bellagio, the MGM Grand and the Mirage. The plan? Escape with $150 million of Tony Benedict's (Andy Garcia's) cash. Who can help but love George Clooney? Even as Batman he put a smile on our face (not for the right reasons) and with Brad Pitt by his side, there was no way we could hold anything against them. But the quality we love most is the sheer complexity and cunning of the plan. As Catch Me If You Can proved, audiences really love a criminal with a brain, and we can only watch in amazement as the mastery of the plan comes together in the final third of the film. We only wish we could come up with something as ingenious.
