13 Movies That Should've Ended 5 Minutes Earlier
9. (500) Days Of Summer
How It Ended: Tom and Summer have a heartfelt discussion at a park bench, after which Tom attends a job interview and meets an attractive woman who agrees to go for a coffee with him. Her name? You guessed it, Autumn.
How It Should've Ended: The final meeting with Summer was such a perfectly uplifting, achingly human note on which to end the film, and springing for an over-extended happy ending just felt greedy.
Plus, the whole Autumn thing is pretty cringe-worthy even though it's supposed to be firmly tongue-in-cheek, and Minka Kelly, the actress who plays Autumn, is distractingly terrible in the scene.
As superb as the film is on the whole, it just went a little over-indulgent in the final stretch.
