13 Movies That Should've Ended 5 Minutes Earlier

7. Source Code

How It Ended: After Captain Stevens' (Jake Gyllenhaal) body is taken off life support, the source code freezes for a moment (while Stevens is kissing Michelle Monaghan's Christina) before resuming.

It appears that the code has essentially become its own parallel universe, where Stevens, under the guise of Sean Fentress, is able to live out his life with Christina.

How It Should've Ended: The kiss was such a hauntingly beautiful visual on which to end the film, but Duncan Jones sadly couldn't resist going for the ultra-happy ending, which has far more disturbing implications when you realise that Stevens has essentially stolen the life of Fentress, and he's going to have friends and family who are very bemused that he doesn't remember them.
