9. We Got To Hear Robin Williams One Last Time - Absolutely Anything
The Movie: Again proving how much Simon Pegg struggles to find good solo movies outside of franchise fare and the Cornetto trilogy, Absolutely Anything squanders its Monty Python voice cast and delivers a depressingly unfunny "comedy" that incredulously managed to actually get a theatrical release in UK cinemas. The Overlooked Positive: Still, at least the movie gave us one final role for the late Robin Williams, voicing Pegg's character's pet dog. Williams had been developing the project with Python alum Terry Jones for quite some time, so at least his heart was in it rather than it being a mere paycheck part, and in fairness, he delivers probably the most entertaining turn in the entire movie (though it's not saying much). You probably still won't want to sit through the entire 85 minute outing, but hopefully someone will make a YouTube compilation of Williams' scenes to save us all an hour.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
