6. Escape From Earth
It took Kurt Russell and John Carpenter a full fifteen years to make another Snake Plissken adventure with Escape From L.A., but most would agree it was hardly worth the wait. It was a cheesy action film that was a bare faced remake of the original, and the terrible CGI did it no favours. Still, Snake remained one of the coolest anti-heroes ever, and the awesome ending helped redeem the film a little. There was talk of a third Escape film around the time L.A. was released - tentatively titled Escape From Earth - but since the movie didnt set the world on fire the idea was shelved. Its a real shame Snake didnt get a few more movies, but with Kurt Russell on something of a winning streak (The Hateful Eight, Furious 7, Bone Tomahawk) maybe theres still hope of one final escape. Just imagine what an older, more grizzled version of Snake would be like, and wonder how badass modern-day Russell would look in an eyepatch; its something that really needs to happen.
