Little need be said about the tremendous legacy The Wachowskis left for themselves with their mind-meltingly brilliant sci-fi actioner The Matrix. It had everything people wanted from an action movie: an intelligent, thought-provoking plot, insane set-pieces, inventive visual effects, great characters, and even a little romance. Many love to mock Keanu Reeves' performance as Neo and some of the rather idiosyncratic lines he has to deliver, such as "I know kung fu", but really, they're totally in the spirit of the character, and absolutely make sense in context. The worst line in the movie is awarded to Switch, just as she realises that Cypher is going to turn her off, killing her. Cypher declares, "By the way, if you have something terribly important to say to Switch, I'd suggest you say it now", and her reply? "Not like this. Not like this." Granted the acting isn't particularly great in the delivery either, but it's such a laughably cliched line for a character's final words, and the repetition just makes it seem more stagey and cornball.
